Steve Jobs - D Tech Czar ( Apple Master)

Steven Paul Jobs, the co-founder, chairman and CEO of Apple Inc.
Born on February 24, 1955, in San Francisco, Steve was adopted by Justin and Clara Jobs of California. His adoptive parents named him as Steve Paul. He was a student of the Cupertino Junior High School and Homestead High School in California. During his years of schooling, Steve used to attend after-school lectures at the Hewlett-Packard Company, which fetched him a summer job in the company. Here he got the opportunity to work with Steve Wozniak, the cofounder of Apple Inc, later to be.

In 1991, Steve Jobs married Laurene Powell and they later had three children.

After graduating from high school, Steve was admitted to the Reed College in Portland, from which he dropped out and took up a course in calligraphy. Calligraphy, seeming to be of no use in a career in computers, later turned out being the most important factor responsible for the development of fonts.

In 1984, Jobs purchased a 14-bedroom Spanish Colonial mansion, which he inhabited for around ten years. Reports say that he had kept an old BMW in the living room of this magnificent apartment he owned.

Job's Professional life-:

In 1976, Steve Jobs in collaboration with Stephen Wozniak, a former electronics hacker, founded Apple and a success story had begun! They were funded by A.C. "Mike" Markkula. With the effective words, which said, "Do you want to spend the rest of your life selling sugared water to children, or do you want a chance to change the world?" Jobs managed to attract John Sculley, who was previously working with Pepsi-Cola, to be the CEO of Apple.

January 24, 1984 was the day that marked the introduction of Macintosh, which went up to become the first commercially used small computer with a GUI.

Later, during the same year, Jobs' relations with Scully worsened and Jobs had to receive one of the greatest blows of his life, a lay-off from Apple! But he was Steve Jobs, not the one to lose hope so easily. He went on to found NeXt Computer, a computer company that was highly experimental and technologically advanced. The NeXt workstation had a built-in Ethernet port; it supported embedded graphics and proved being a step towards personal computing.

In 1996, Apple came forward to buy NeXt, thus resulting in Jobs returning to Apple. At the 2000 MacWorld Expo, Jobs became the permanent CEO of Apple. From then on, there was no looking back. He is the winner of many awards, the most prominent of them being the National Medal of Technology from the President. He is also inducted to the California Hall of Fame. While facing criticism from some sectors of industry, he continued being one of the admired figures in the sphere of technology. Steve Jobs remains being one of the icons of the computer industry

Something important abt JOBS--:

In the late 1970s, Jobs, with Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, Mike Markkula,[10] and others, designed, developed, and marketed some of the first commercially successful lines of personal computers, the Apple II series and later, the Macintosh. In the early 1980s, Jobs was among the first to see thecommercial potential of the mouse-driven graphical user interface.[11][12] After losing a power struggle with the board of directors in 1985,[13][14] Jobs resigned from Apple and founded NeXT, a computer platform development company specializing in the higher education and business markets. NeXT's subsequent 1997 buyout by Apple Computer Inc. brought Jobs back to the company he co-founded, and he has served as its CEO since then.
In 1986, he acquired the computer graphics division of Lucasfilm Ltd which was spun off as Pixar Animation Studios.[15] He remained CEO and majority shareholder until its acquisition by the Walt Disney Company in 2006.[2] Jobs is currently a member of Walt Disney Company's Board of Directors.[16][17]
Jobs' history in business has contributed much to the symbolic image of the idiosyncratic, individualistic Silicon Valley entrepreneur, emphasizing the importance of design and understanding the crucial role aesthetics play in public appeal. His work driving forward the development of products that are both functional and elegant has earned him a devoted following.[18] Beginning in mid-January 2009, Jobs took a five-month leave of absence from Apple to undergo aliver transplant.[19] Jobs officially resumed his role as CEO of Apple on June 29, 2009

Jobs' biggest coup came in May 1998, when he unveiled iMac. iMac combined computer and monitor into a single unit. A stunning success, iMac helped revive Apple sales and remains one of the biggest money makers. In 2007, Mac accounted for 43 per cent of the company's revenue.

In October 2001, Apple unveiled its first iPod, the digital music player further galvanised the company's position in the market. The portable music players continue to dominate the global market.

In January 2007, Steve Jobs introduced iPhone, Apple's state-of-the-art mobile phone. With iPod and its accessories, Apple TV and the iPhone, it became clear that Apple is no longer a mere computer company. Hence, went the term `Computer' from its official name. On January 7th, 2007, Jobs announced that Apple Computer Inc has become Apple Inc.

Apple iPhone hit the market in June 2007. The device got updated this year and has been introduced in 22 countries across the globe. The second-generation iPhone runs on 3G network and supports business email system.
